Founder of Heart on Our Sleeves Press, Abigail Mandlin, will have two original pieces debut in this year's edition of the University of Washington's literary magazine, Clamor. Clamor is a long-running institution of UW (specifically their Bothell campus), a journal run almost entirely by the graduate class. In their own words: "Clamor submissions share messages and tell stories, speak truth, inspire change, and create beauty in the world, foster empathy through shared identities, perspectives, emotions, and experiences, and provide escape and connection for our community."
This will be Mandlin's seventh consecutive year having at least one piece featured in the journal (2019-present). Her most recent entries, "r/soup" and "Orenji Juusu," will be available to read in digital and print towards the end of 2026's spring quarter. She's excited for people to experience them both.
